It is hard to believe that 4 years have passed since I won the South District seat on Bristol Tennessee City council. Time flies by! We have accomplished a lot in these four years—a council that gets along and works well together and a city manager who has seen what needed to be done and has done a lot of detail work to get us up to speed has meant that we are in a very different place than we were four years ago.

I hope that you are proud of our downtown, of the recent landscaping on Volunteer Parkway, the attention paid to Steele Creek Park, attention to job and economic development. Our processes are more professionally and fairly administered.

I continue to support citizen involvement in our government and community. Steps taken in the past 4 years include:

·         Channel 16 Bristol TN-TV network that has lots of great information and interesting things accessible to citizens

·         First Municipal Citizens Academy that 16 citizen students attended and have given great reviews for

·         Better website with lots of information and a Citizen Concerns process to give and get feedback on questions and issues of concern

·         City Council meetings that have more opportunities for citizens to speak

There are many more opportunities that I advocate for citizens to be included. I will continue to advocate for city support of neighborhood associations and strategic planning with citizen involvement are just a couple.

I continue to support what we value in the preservation of our historical, cultural, and natural assets that make us who we are and that make us proud of Bristol.

And now I need your help.

I need your Vote on May 19 or during early voting.

I welcome help with my campaign, or input from any and all who would like to provide it. Feel free to e-mail or call me with your concerns or suggestions.
